Way understaffed for the number of people they have to process.On the positive side if you have all the required paperwork for what you are there for the staff are friendly and the service is quick. Almost 1 hour wait on my visit

What a joke. Have gone 2 times and both times the queue over 1hr long, and at one point they boot you out as soon as the queue goes beyond their opening hours. If they weren't providing an essential service (private function) you could say fine, I will go elsewhere. The management and government need to step up. By their own processes, not everything can be done online. Either add staff, improve processes or open longer hours. Change something. What a joke. I feel for the staff, though if you dont provide feedback, nothing will ever change.Even sadder given that they can take a leaf out of the book of other states and see how things can be done better. Open some hours on saturday, have more staff, amalgamate services (like Service NSW) and provide more online options. All options that DOT is ignoring.I would give them 0 stars, if the staff weren't at least helpful when you do finally get to speak to one. Hence the 2 stars.

A pleasant surprise - you have to take a number but the pace of the place moves you through at an acceptable pace. Don't expect to just pop in and do your business, allow some wait time. Service was helpful, friendly and efficient.

Great service by the guy at the acceptance desk!Instead of wasting hours he just give a quick solution and I was done in 7 minutes!Great customer service

DoTs often get a bad rep, and at times the experience can be very bad too.I have been to three separate DoT sites in Perth within the past 6 months, and have had good experiences everywhere, with helpful professional staff at the desk.The Plaistow centre in Perth gets 4 stars bcos it is a small office catering to large client numbers, and seating can be difficult. Likewise free parking on site can be hard to get.Staff were pleasant and polite and doing the best they could given their limited resources. I had to wait about 30 mins in the queue but i came out with my task complete. That's about as reasonable as it gets in a Govt dept.

I go to the Department of Transport in the City every 3 months to pay my car registration. Although I can use my credit card instead instead of going to the city. But while in that area I decide to go in person and pay. Although there were lots of people already there, i said to my self that at least I have to wait for one hour and half like before. But one of the staff asked the reason I was there . She gave me a ticket number and pointed to a desk that was close to me. There were 3 people in front of me.. 5 minutes later or less I was paying. So I said to the staff WOW whoever decided to make this change Give my congratulation.

Staff churn through customers a lot quicker than other DOTs I've visited.The lady who served me (Kerry) was absolutely amazing. She was kind, attentive and talked me through the process of registering my imported vehicle in plain English with a smile.If I need to visit DOT again it'll be this branch for sure.

Appalling wait times.Automatic Check in Kiosk managed by a staff member.Automatic feedback kiosk unmanned.Tax payer dollar spending at its finest.

Staff were great . Under pressure from the amount of people that turned up. I arrived about 11.40 and sign said 1 hour wait. After 1 hour a sign went up saying 2 hour. I waited 2 and half hours. Not staff fault. But something needs fixing

The place was full to bursting when I went on a Tuesday at 1.30pm. It took an hour to be called up - however the service was top notch and the lady on counter 14 refilled my water for me. Overall I just need a little patience and this place is so conveniently situated - it's much better than it used to be.
